The China Science and Technology Museum launched a science education program for seniors in Beijing on Tuesday to promote a senior-friendly society.

Chang Juan, an official with the museum, said she hopes the program will encourage seniors to embrace the new technological era and adopt a positive attitude toward lifelong learning.

The program's opening event attracted nearly 300 seniors who enjoyed a robot tai chi performance and got hands-on with traditional crafts at the museum. Organizers said the program will extend into communities, making science education services regular for seniors.
