The China Coast Guard carried out a rescue exercise recently in waters off Huangyan Island in the South China Sea, China Central Television reported on Monday.
The state broadcaster said on its Weibo social media account that multiple Chinese fishing vessels operate in waters off Huangyan Island, and the Coast Guard conducts regular rescue drills to ensure the safety of ships traveling in that region.
It did not mention the data, specific location, and the units involved in the recent exercise but uploaded a short video clip showing personnel from the Coast Guard ship Chuanshan practicing rescue and medical first-aid maneuvers using a dummy.
