9 dead, 2 hurt in Ningxia crash

Nine people died and two were injured in a car-truck crash in Qingtongxia, Ningxia Hui autonomous region on Thursday morning.
At around 7:40 am, a truck struck a passenger car on a highway near a cemetery. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment and are expected to survive, Ningxia Daily reported on Thursday.
Public security, health, emergency and other departments conducted rescue operations at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
