Hao Zongqiang, deputy head of the publicity department of China's top anti-corruption watchdogs, has been expelled from the Communist Party of China and dismissed from public office over suspected severe violations of the Party discipline and the law.
The CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission announced the decision online on Thursday, adding that Hao's suspected crimes have also been handed over to prosecutors for further review.
Hao was placed under the disciplinary and supervisory investigation in June.
