BEIJING -- A Chinese mainland spokesperson on Wednesday criticized Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities for hyping up the so-called information security risks of applications from the mainland.
Zhang Han, a spokesperson for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, stated at a press conference that the DPP moves have deprived people in Taiwan, especially the youth, of their right to know and the freedom to use social networking platforms.
Noting that such moves reveal the fear and insecurity of the DPP authorities, Zhang said they will have to face the dire consequences of their wayward actions.
