Is acting an overpaid job?

The great majority of actors and actresses are paid very little and some are almost at poverty levels until they might be lucky to get a role. Very few get to be celebrities commanding high box office numbers. It is these few who are paid enormous sums. The situation is the same in football. So many young people trying hard to get noticed and be offered training in a recognized team... and so few make it. Those who succeed are paid outrageous and obscene sums of money.
