Accompanied by the perfect ballet show by Mariinsky Ballet, the month-long 17th China Shanghai International Arts Festival came to a close Monday at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center.

As an official state-level function, the annual China Shanghai International Arts Festival has been drawing back its viewing curtains since 1999. Aimed at presenting the best in world culture and promoting Chinese art, this year's festival gave audience 93 performances from 27 provinces in China and 55 countries from all over the world.
