Night with the Buddha. On Spring Festival Eve, the temples are filled with people who are trying to burn the first stick of incense for the coming New Year. In China belief in Buddhism has become a part of many people's life, and it is a folk belief that piously burning the first stick of incense before Buddha in the temple on New Year's Eve will bring them luck for the whole year to come.
