The city has raised the first grade anti-typhoon signal on Monday.
Guangdong governor Zhu Xiaodan has urged coastal cities and relevant departments to take concrete and effective measures to avoid casualties and minimize economic loss on Monday.
Zhu asked all the fishing boats to return to typhoon shelters while all the ocean events have been suspended.
