HONG KONG -- The gold price in Hong Kong went down HK$58 to open at HK$16,430 per tael on Thursday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to $1,779.11 a troy ounce, down $6.28 at the latest exchange rate of one US dollar against HK$7.752.
