HONG KONG -- The gold price in Hong Kong went up HK$90 to open at HK$16,410 per tael on Wednesday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to $1,776.94 a troy ounce, up $9.75 at the latest exchange rate of one US dollar against HK$7.752.
