Thousands of kilometers away in Tianjin, Guo Hongjing's work is grounded in the practical realities of a warehouse floor. As a team leader at Tianjin Lizhong Wheel Co, her responsibilities range from organizing tiny screws to managing massive motors.
A former migrant worker and a deputy to the National People's Congress this year, she now spends much of her time listening to colleagues during breaks in canteens and dorms. She wants to reflect the concerns of industrial workers, focusing on labor rights, skills training, and ensuring the country's manufacturing shift benefits those working on the front lines.
