Shanghai L+SNOW Indoor Skiing Theme Resort, the indoor ski resort with the most International Ski Federation (FIS) certifications in China, has achieved a major milestone. With three ski trails, it secured five FIS certifications by 2026, providing Shanghai with a world-class venue for international competitions, according to Wang Xiaobo, assistant general-manager of the resort, on Tuesday.

As the training base for local ski teams, the resort hosted over 7,000 training sessions in 2025, including summer and autumn camps for the Chinese Paralympic and national teams preparing for the Milan Winter Olympics. "This certification means Shanghai finally has a professional venue capable of hosting international ranking and championship events. We plan to host 12 international ski competitions this year," Wang said. The resort will continue to support professional training, youth competitions, and public skiing skill assessments, creating a sustainable development ecosystem from beginner to competitive levels.
