China, Uzbekistan to enhance cooperation on law enforcement, security
BEIJING -- Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong met with Uzbekistan's Minister of Internal Affairs Aziz Tashpulatov in Beijing on Wednesday.
Wang said China is willing to work with Uzbekistan to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, enhance exchanges at all levels, and strengthen practical cooperation in areas such as counter-terrorism, combating telecom fraud and cybercrime, security for major events and law enforcement capacity building.
These efforts, Wang added, will help ensure high-quality advancement of the Belt and Road Initiative, effectively safeguard the security and stability of both nations, and promote the building of a China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future that is more substantial and dynamic.
Tashpulatov, for his part, expressed Uzbekistan's willingness to maintain close communication and exchanges with China, and promote in-depth and substantive cooperation between the two countries in law enforcement and security.
