As the “21st Century Cup” National English Speaking Competition celebrates 30 years of encouraging young Chinese to let their voices — and that of their country — be heard, this video series looks at the many ways in which the country’s messages are being got out to the world. In this first episode a young Indonesian sees firsthand how linguists, voice artists and others ensure that those messages are seen and heard in a way that audiences everywhere can understand.
