About 150 Taiwan compatriots in the Huli district of Xiamen, Fujian province, were inspired by the live broadcast of the national parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45) and the World Anti-Fascist War. "Today, everyone here witnessed the strength of the motherland, and we must unite even more to work together for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation," Su said.

The event was organaized by the Taiwan affairs office of Huli district.
