Helicopter crash kills one, injures four in Suzhou
At around 5 pm on Friday, a helicopter crashed in Wuzhong district, Suzhou, Jiangsu province, resulting in one death and four injuries, the local emergency management bureau said late last night.
According to the bureau's statement, the R44 II helicopter, with registration number B-7541, crashed from a height of about 10 meters above the ground while returning to the airspace of Wuzhong. The victim, one person on the ground, was killed, while four personnel on board were injured.
Local emergency, public security and health departments launched rescue efforts immediately, and the injured individuals were promptly transferred for medical treatment, with none currently in life-threatening condition.
An investigation into the cause of the crash, led by the civil aviation authority of Jiangsu, is underway. ?
