DOHA - A batch of medicine and other humanitarian aid for Gaza civilians and Israeli captives will leave Doha on Wednesday for delivery into the Gaza Strip through Egypt, said the Qatari Foreign Ministry.

The aid will arrive at the Egyptian city of Al-Arish on board two Qatari Armed Forces aircraft, the Qatar News Agency reported, citing a statement of the spokesperson of the Qatari Foreign Ministry, Majed Al-Ansari.

Under the joint mediation of Qatar and France, medicine and other humanitarian aid will be delivered to civilians in the most affected and vulnerable areas in the Gaza Strip as well as to Israeli captives in Gaza who need medication.

Al-Ansari highlighted that Qatar will continue to collaborate with regional and international partners, particularly on humanitarian issues and medical evacuation, as part of Qatar's endeavors to bring an end to the conflict in Gaza.
