More than 30,000 tai chi enthusiasts in Liaoning province showcased the charm of synchronized exercise on Saturday during the fifth annual Liaoning Tai Chi Performance and 26th Dalian Tai Chi Performance.

The event had one main venue in Zhongshan district of Dalian, and 15 sub-venues across the province, with the participation of 102 teams.

Around 10,000 people performed tai chi at the main venue, at which the sea served as a backdrop, along with seagulls and shipping vessels.

The event aims to enhance the communication and interaction between cities and popularize tai chi.
