China suspends short-term visas for S. Koreans

China has decided to suspend the issuing of short-term visas for South Korean citizens to visit China for business, tourism, medical services, transit or other personal affairs, the Chinese embassy in Seoul said in a statement on Tuesday.
The decision will be effective starting Tuesday and adjustment of the decision will be considered once South Korea cancels its discriminatory entry requirements on travelers from China, the statement added.
