State Council appoints, removes officials
BEIJING - The State Council, China's cabinet, announced the appointment and removal of officials on Friday.
Deng Xiaogang was appointed vice minister of agriculture and rural affairs, the State Council said in a statement.
Zhao Junning was appointed deputy head of the National Medical Products Administration.
Wu Kongming was named president of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
Li Yifei was named political commissar of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and chairman of the China Xinjian Group, it said.
You Jun was removed from the post of vice minister of human resources and social security.
Xiong Maoping was removed from the post of deputy head of the State Administration for Market Regulation.
Tang Huajun no longer serves as president of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
Wang Junzheng no longer serves as political commissar of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and chairman of the China Xinjian Group, according to the statement.
