The National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the country's top advisory body, held a symposium on the publicity work of the CPPCC on Thursday in Beijing.
Wang Yang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the meeting.
He called for telling stories about the CPC's governance and the CPPCC's performance of its duties in a better way.
The work should be based on the characteristics and advantages of the CPPCC as a united front organization and a specialized consultative body, give full play to the principal role of the CPPCC members, and continue to make innovations, he said.
