High-quality development of manufacturing sector is country's goal

China will make efforts to maintain the proportion of its manufacturing industry in GDP, and ensure that the sector can be reliable at critical moments, the country's top industry regulator said on Monday.
Xiao Yaqing, minister of Industry and Information Technology, said more efforts will be made to seek high-quality development of China's manufacturing sector, and to improve the quality of products and services.
It takes a long time to maintain a stable proportion of the manufacturing industry, and more measures will be made to attract capital and talents to the sector, Xiao said on the sidelines of the ongoing annual two sessions.
