Agricultural expo gets good response

Trade volume amounting to 41.8 billion yuan ($6.35 billion) was witnessed at the 18th China International Agricultural Trade Fair, which concluded on Monday, in Chongqing Municipality. Focusing on poverty alleviation via developing industries, the fair attracted more than 300 leading agricultural companies.

Steel sector sees output expansion

China's steel sector registered output expansion during the first 10 months of the year, industrial data showed. Crude steel output saw a year-on-year growth of 5.5 percent to 874 million metric tons while pig iron output rose by 4.3 percent on a yearly basis to 742 million tons, according to the China Iron and Steel Association.
