Truck hits funeral mourners, kills 9

Nine people were killed after a truck crashed into a funeral procession at around 5 am on Friday morning in central China, local authorities said. Another four people were injured and hospitalized from the incident that occurred on a national highway in Huaibin county, Henan province, according to the county's publicity department. The Ministry of Public Security has sent a team to investigate the case, the department said.

More than 2,050 invention and innovation projects are on display at the ongoing 24th National Exhibition of Inventions in Foshan, Guangdong province. The three-day exhibition, which opened on Thursday, has display areas that show the role of technology in helping poverty alleviation, exhibit high-end equipment manufacturing, energy conservation and environment protection, biomedicines and smart homes.
