Jakarta high-speed rail gets major boost

China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group, one of the construction firms involved in the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway in Indonesia, has finished the span continuous beam for the DK1203 super bridge, the second longest on the line, edging a step closer toward the early completion of the 142.3-kilometer-long rail. The railway line, with a maximum speed of 350 km an hour, is the first order from a foreign country for China's high-speed rail technology.

Cargo throughput up 4.3% at Tianjin Port

Cargo throughput at Tianjin Port rose by 4.3 percent on a yearly basis to 336 million metric tons during the first nine months of the year, according to Tianjin Port (Group) Co Ltd. Container throughput topped 13.76 million twenty-foot equivalent units in the period, up 5.2 percent on a yearly basis.
