Anning, Yunnan province, is ready to conduct free health examinations for all registered residents and to update electronic health records, the local government announced recently.
The city's statistics bureau said there were 282,700 registered residents in 2019.
It's expected the project will be completed within three years with an investment of 100 million yuan ($14.93 million) from the city.
In recent years, Anning has been building an open electronic health information database and query platform for all residents that can help detect and treat diseases earlier.
