Ecology forms waived for outbreak-hit firms

The Ministry of Ecology and Environment said on Friday that by July, about 76,000 projects, mainly in the service sector such as catering and entertainment, have been exempt from filing environmental impact assessment registration forms. The businesses had been severely affected by the COVID-19 outbreak and the move can help them resume production faster, ministry official Liu Zhiquan said at a news conference, adding that any violation of relevant environment rules found during random inspections will still be punished.

TCM industry expo kicks off in province

The third traditional Chinese medicine industry expo kicked off on Friday in Gansu province, with a series of events to be held over two days, including forums and trade fairs. Topics such as the role of TCM in caring for human health will be discussed, while new policies, standards and technologies concerning the TCM sector will be rolled out at the forums.
