He lingered a bit after fulfilling his mission. When he found that the woman hadn't eaten, he not only helped cook a bowl of noodles with two boiled eggs but took out the trash.
As a fan of Kuaishou, a video-sharing platform, Gao likes to record his daily life.
"I think the reason Time picked me is that I helped an elderly person in need. Although it is a warm story, I'm no different when dealing with anyone else. I just wish my tiny bit can show the Western world the strong cohesion of China," he says in the video.
