Engaging emojis offer health tips to Wuhan hospital patients
A makeshift hospital treating patients with mild symptoms in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, launched a series of emojis on Tuesday for doctors to give health tips and cheer patients up.
The emojis feature a cartoon doctor dressed in a protective suit with captions offering warm words and medical suggestions.
In the emojis, the cartoon doctor performs a series of poses to express uplifting messages and advice, including "Hope you recover soon", "We will win", "You are excellent", "Follow me", and "Wash your hands and drink more hot water".
Zhang Jinxiang, dean of the makeshift hospital in Jianghan district of Wuhan, who came up with the idea, said the emojis will help medical workers deliver their messages to patients in a vivid way.
"These emojis also can make patients feel less stressed out when reading these tips," Zhang said.
