Officers and other personnel from the People's Liberation Army's Hong Kong Garrison, dressed in civilian clothes, help clear a road outside the Kowloon East Barracks on Nov 16, 2019. Their operation won the applause of pedestrians. During protracted violent protests, rioters erected roadblocks across the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
