Retired woman fulfills dream of travelling world's continents
Despite the cold, she still braved the chance to swim in the Antarctic. A winter swimming enthusiast for several years, He said the temperature was "quite suitable for ice swimming".
In Aug 2019, she began her journey to the Arctic.
"The Antarctic was like a beautiful dream of the white holy land, while the Arctic is more like an adventurer's paradise," she said. "During my trip to the Arctic, we went through the thick ice ancient ice and enjoyed wonderful scenery on the endless ice sheets. I was so lucky to take a close look at polar bears, arctic foxes, reindeer, walruses and other animals."
She has planned her next journey to equatorial countries, such as Kenya and Tanzania in 2020.
"I want to see the great migration of animals and also plan to stand on two sides of the globe when I cross the equator," she said with great excitement.
