Former Tianjin official under investigation
Mu Huaiguo, former deputy secretary-general in Tianjin Municipal government, has been placed under investigation for alleged graft issues, according to the Tianjin Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection on Wednesday.
He is being probed by both the Tianjin Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and its Supervisory Commission for "serious violations of the Party disciplines and the laws", it said.
Mu, 59, was a bureau-level Party official and obtained a master diploma in business management.
Between 2000 and December 2018, he mainly served as vice-head in Heping district in Tianjin, deputy director of the Tianjin Municipal Urban-Rural Construction and Transportation Commission, and deputy secretary-general of the municipal government.
