The Long March-2D carrier rocket took off on Friday from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Northwest China's Gobi Desert with 12 satellites all entering the intended orbit.
Among the 12 satellites, two of them are low-orbit remote sensing satellites contracted by the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology of Saudi Arabia. The other ten small satellites were developed by Hunan Changsha Tianyi Research Institute and Beijing Jiutian MSI Technology Development Co.
This mission is the 293th flight of the Long March carrier rocket series for launching cargo.
