Former senior provincial official arrested for bribery, embezzlement

BEIJING -- Bai Xiangqun, former vice chairman of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, has been arrested on suspicion of bribery and embezzlement, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) announced Tuesday.
The National Supervisory Commission has finished an investigation of Bai's case and handed it to the procuratorial organ for review and prosecution, the SPP said.
