Stormy the dog was awarded a medal after completing a half-marathon (21.195km) in the Australian outback and winning the hearts of its human competitors earlier in July. This crossbreed followed the other runners' pace, and sometimes stopped and greeted volunteers and participants along the route. The black and brown canine came from a nearby community. Stormy will be put up for adoption if no one claims him within a week.
