Senior CPC official to visit South Africa for BRICS meeting

BEIJING - Yang Jiechi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, will attend the eighth meeting of BRICS High Representatives for Security Issues, scheduled for June 28 and 29 in Durban, South Africa.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang made the announcement on Monday at a regular press briefing.
