Xi backs DPRK development
The president said he believed that the two sides will take the opportunity of the delegation's visit to deepen exchanges and push the progress of China-DPRK friendly relations.
Xi said that socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, and the DPRK's development of socialism also has entered a new historical period.
Calling the members of the DPRK delegation a strong force to push the development of DPRK socialism, Xi wished them well in making new progress in the country's economic and social development.
Pak said that the historical meetings between the top leaders of the two parties have pushed China-DPRK relations to enter a new stage.
The delegation is aimed at implementing the important consensus of the two parties' top leaders and learn from China's experience of building its economy, reform and opening-up, Pak said.
Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, also attended the meeting.
