BEIJING - A book of selections from Chinese President Xi Jinping's comments and writings on the construction of socialist society has been published by the Central Party Literature Press.

The 326 selections were extracted from 140 speeches, instructions, congratulatory letters and other sources dating from Nov 15, 2012 to Sept 19, 2017.

The book has nine sections, which include developing social justice for the people to share the results of reform and development, establishing a fairer and more sustainable social security system, promoting health care, safeguarding public security and social stability, and building a national security system with Chinese characteristics.

Some of the selections are published for the first time.
