KATHMANDU: Wildlife technicians of National and International Nature Conservation Trust have taken in control a man-eating tiger that killed five persons and wounded eight others in a span of five months in central Nepal, local media reported on Wednesday.

According to nepalnews.com, a team of 12 wildlife technicians along with some army men and eight elephant troops were deployed to catch the tiger after forest ministry directed Chitwan National Park in central Nepal to do so on October 5.

After a search for almost a week, the team traced the tiger on Saturday. The same evening, the team set up a trap using a buffalo as decoy.

The next day, the tiger was captured after making it unconsciousness.
