Donation overwhelms parents of sick boy

"It hurts everyday, please bury me." This is what four-year-old boy Du Sihan, who suffers from severe thalassemia, said to his parents. These heart-breaking words caught the attention ofpeople from all walks of life. Until Friday evening, Du's parents had received more than a million yuan ($160,000), a donation so big that Du's father had to ask people to stop sending money as it was enough for the boy's initial treatment.

Chinese actress Yao Chen and a father-to-be, who did not want to reveal his name, donated 100,000 yuan respectively. Yao also reposted the weibo story by Chengdu Business Daily, calling for help for the boy.

Du's parents wrote a thank-you letter to the donors and promised that all the money would be used for Du's treatment and would give the left-over to other patients in need.
