The 2015 Shangri-La Hotel, Qinhuangdao Cup for National Go Championships kicked off on May 11.

Held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Qinhuangdao, the championships has attracted a multitude of famous Go players from China and abroad, including Chinese players Peng Quan and Gu Lingyi and Japan's Murakawa Daisuke.

The coastal city of Qinhuangdao is known as a summer retreat in North China and for its beautiful scenic views and favorable climate. The city also serves as a training base for judges and coaches on China's Go and chess associations.
