London was crowned as the most global city in 2016, beating last year's top-ranked New York, according to the market consultancy AT Kearney's Global cities report.

The report examines a city's current performance on 27 metrics across five dimensions, including business activity, human capital, information exchange, cultural experience and political engagement.

Beijing, capital of China, is ranked ninth on the Global Cities Index.
