Lippi's career record with Evergrande saw him in charge of 128 matches, 85 of which were won and 283 goals being scored in all games.
The club rejected an offer of compensation from Lippi whose contract was not due to expire until Nov 30, 2017.
The Italian turned down the offer of a farewell party before a home game because he felt it difficult to say "goodbye" to the club's many fans.
