"Brazil is a very strong team with world-class striker Marta," China coach Marika Domanski-Lyfors said after the match.
Marta, The FIFA player of the year, opened the Brazilian scoring in the 42nd minute.
Her second goal, in the 70th minute, was the most impressive. With two defenders on her heels, she ran away from the goal, then turned quickly and launched a shot with her left foot from 15 yards.
"The reason for the big win is that the Chinese girls failed to curb Marta," Brazilian coach Jorge Barcellos said.
