Chongqing to build Women and Children’s Hospital

The Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University recently signed a cooperation agreement with Beijing Shuanghu Investment Management Company to co-construct a women and children’s hospital, liangjiang.gov.cn reported.
The hospital will begin construction this year at the medical industry park of Beibu New Area. The new hospital will accommodate 300 patients at the same time. It will offer pediatric care, gynecology and obstetrics, and a women’s healthcare department.
The hospital is a major attempt for public hospitals to utilize social capital. Chongqing Children’s Hospital will be responsible for the medical service team and offer tailor-made services for different patients.
The hospital will integrate medical treatment, teaching and research as well as disease prevention. It will bring in overseas medical resources and make innovations in service, management, compensation packages and research.
The new hospital will meet the obstetrical and pediatric demands of local people.
