The tourist industry is the pillar industry in Shangzhi. "The first slide in Asia", the "Maoer mountain glass skyglass", and "The biggest seal" have become well-known Chinese scenic spots.

Maoer mountain is located in Shangzhi county Maoershan town. With a height of 808 meters, it looks like a hat, and the road to its top is an almost vertical cliff.

Maoer mountain tourist resort combines accommodation, a restaurant, entertainment, relaxation – in a word, a vacation. There are many different farmyards, country cottages, and European-style villas located along the sides of the Ashia river.

The forest of Shangzhi Stelae, built in 1999, collects high-quality calligraphic works, and has grown into a comprehensive calligraphic culture museum. It has more than 1000 pieces of calligraphy, 600 of which are national historical relics.
