The Xialuo village in Jinchengjiang district, Hechi, organized a horse fighting competition on April 9 to celebrate the Double Third Day Festival, a traditional festival of the Zhuang ethnic group.

Organized horse fighting has been a traditional observance during certain festivals in China by ethnic minorities including the Miao and Zhuang ethnic groups. The practice has taken place for more than 500 years.
