The tourism market in the city of Sanmenxia, Henan province has seen large gains during the Spring Festival holiday (Feb 7-13) as it netted 135 million yuan ($20.78 million) in revenue, up 26 percent compared to a year ago, according to city officials.

During the week-long holiday, the city received 967,000 visitors, increased by 20.3 percent year on year and the occupancy rate of star-level hotels across the city reached 93 percent.
