TM Forum Global Smart City Summit in North Central China

The city of Yinchuan, Ningxia region, hosted the 2015 TM Forum Global Smart City Theme Summit, on Sept 12, one of the largest summits in the global smart city field, and a crucial part of the 2015 China-Arab States Expo, which ran Sept 10-13, in the city.
This themed summit, sponsored by ZTE, the Yinchuan government and the Global Telecommunication Forum, saw senior experts and government officials discussing smart city developments and achievements and sharing their experiences in forums and while visiting Yinchuan’s smart city construction smart city displays at the China-Arab States Expo.
Bai Shangcheng, Yinchuan’s mayor, in a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony, said that he hoped Yinchuan could use the summit as an opportunity for greater cooperation with the Telecommunication Forum in deciding and promoting the development direction of the smart city effort
One important part of the summit was the unveiling ceremony of the TMF (China Yinchuan) Smart City Joint Innovation Center, a Yinchuan government, ZTE Soft and TM Forum operation, which marks their greater cooperation. Addressing the event were Guo Bochun, vice-mayor of Yinchuan, Peter Sunny, CEO of TMF, and M Chen Jie, senior vice-president of ZTE, who spoke about smart city development.
